Our prestigious health care client in Baltimore is looking to add an Application Project Lead to their growing team! Join a dynamic project team as you utilize your Business Analyst and Project management skills creating, implementing, and maintaining production support and documentation of various departmental and enterprise wide business intelligence applications.  You’ll also have the opportunity to define your own strategy on projects within the finance and IT user groups.


Essential Roles and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance, performance, production support and documentation of various departmental and enterprise wide business intelligence applications

  • This includes but is not limited to the installation and testing of new and/or upgraded applications, operating systems, file structures, hardware, communication devices and productivity tools

  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications

  • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts

  • Analyze business problems and propose appropriate automated, manual or procedural solutions

  • Meet regularly with client and internal users to define problems, supervise collection  and analysis of data; document solutions, costs and benefits

  • Supervise development of system solutions into tested and documented programs prior to implementation


Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Must demonstrate  critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills

  • Ability to successfully interface with department heads and ability to effectively communicate and interact with Finance Management and support staff

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities effectively, prioritize conflicting demands and execute assigned project tasks on time

  • Must possess advanced skills and experience in oral and written communication

  • Supervise use of appropriate design techniques to resolve business problem including functional and technical design, standard database structure, screen design and accurate data collection

  • Develop comprehensive project plans,  through various computer based project management tools

  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of leading software design and development tools


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology or  other related degree

  • Formal project management certification (PMP) and previous experience as a Business Analyst strongly preferred

  • 3-5 years of related work experience within a Financial, Clinical or Business Intelligence setting

  • Solid understanding of Employment Life Cycle and Payroll Life Cycle; specifically related to support and development efforts

  • Strong understanding of various information systems and tools employed for IT and Time/payroll systems

  • Technical knowledge of SharePoint, MS Outlook, SAP Business Warehouse, structured programming, databases, file structures and programming tools
