From our offices in Maryland and Tennessee we provide digital strategy, web design and development, packaged software, systems integration and recruiting services to our clients in the commercial, higher education, government and healthcare industries.

 

We are seeking a Financial Systems Analyst with an IT background for one of our prestigious health care clients in Baltimore. As a member of this dynamic business intelligence team, you’ll be able to gather and document business requirements, develop reporting solutions, coordinate data transformations, and develop structures and universes. You’ll also have the opportunity to define your own strategy on projects within the finance and IT user groups.

 

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Generate reporting solutions using SAP BOBJ tool suite, XCelsius, and Crystal

  • Leverage universes and will design, modify and populate relational databases

  • Responsible for requirements analysis and programming efforts in all aspects of Business Intelligence (BI) development  

  • Define deliverables and estimates and create project plans  

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members and communicate effectively with all staff

  • Elicit requirements and develop appropriate business solutions for tasks of all levels of complexity  

  • Engage end users and data analysts to understand the business requirements create prototypes, and facilitate the design and development process utilizing industry-standard SDLC concepts

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Ability to use experience, research and analysis to translate business requirements into creative, innovative, and effective solutions

  • Ability to work with decentralized and diverse technical teams, effectively driving solution adoption and acceptance

  • An understanding of business analyst processes, including requirements elicitation, documentation and testing processes  

  • Must understand the product development life cycle, quality assurance and quality control processes

  • Must also possess a thorough understanding of SAP Business Objects (BOBJ), Web Intelligence, Xcelsius, and Crystal, or similar tools

  • Must understand universes and ETL process concepts, have experience with relational databases and querying using SQL and have knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse (BW)   

  • Proactively identifies process improvement opportunities and strives for efficiencies when areas and/or processes require improvement

  • Understands basic healthcare processes in at least one domain (PR, AR, AP, FI, CO, etc.) preferred

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field  required, a Masters or MBA is preferred  

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Senior Analyst or similar position, preferably in a financial systems or business intelligence environment

  • Experience in Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of BW Solutions using InfoProviders, MultiProviders, DSO Objects, and Process Chains for Data Loads, Transformations etc. a plus but not required

  • Experience with ERP implementation and business process design a plus

  • PMI certification is preferred

  • SQL experience is required to create queries and stored procedures of a highly complex nature

  • Ability to work with SAP BW Query Designer and BEx Analyzer is a plus
