Technical Solutions Architect

 

Our prestigious health care client in Baltimore is looking to immediately hire a Technical Solutions Architect to augment their growing team! Join a dynamic financial services team and utilize your Kronos expertise to create, implement and support the functional management and processes of the Kronos Workforce Central Suite. You’ll also have the opportunity to help define the strategy on projects within the finance and IT user groups.

 

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for leading efforts on major technical development activities related to the Kronos Workforce Central Suite of products

  • Responsible for conducting analysis, preparation, and presentation of information, facilitation of product design workshops, documenting business requirements and functional specifications,

  • Configuring application, identifying test strategies, coordinating user acceptance testing and conducting end user training

  • Oversee and analyze programming and development efforts in support of entire system, advanced technical architecture and overall backend management of system and day to day management of frontend application support

  • Apply project planning techniques to ensure effective use of technology to meet customers’ needs

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Strong functional expertise working with stakeholders to understand and document requirements and deliver identified solutions

  • Solid understanding of Employment Life Cycle and Payroll Life Cycle associated with support and development efforts of a core time management and/or payroll system

  • Ability to work system projects in the Healthcare industry preferred

  • Advanced skills and experience in oral and written communication

  • Ability to effectively interface with department heads and ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior and mid-level management and support staff

  • Ability to collaborate with individuals and teams to deliver conceptual design solutions

  • Strong understanding of various information systems and tools employed for IT and Time/payroll systems related work, including but not limited to, SAP, Kronos, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, Microsoft SharePoint and email applications such as MS Outlook

  • Technical understanding of structured programming, types of databases, file structures and programming tools

  • Knowledge of application programming, database and system design

  • Ability to establish and meet work schedules within limited time frames and under tight deadlines using project management techniques

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

  • At least 5 years of experience working with Kronos Workforce Central Suite of products including Advanced Scheduling, Time keeping and/or Attendance modules and interfaces

  • Hands on experience in multiple phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle in relation to applicable software

  • Advanced project management skills a plus
