Systems Alliance is actively looking to hire several consultants as Project Managers. The main responsibilities will be to plan, execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget for software development and infrastructure projects. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies.


Essential Roles and Responsibilities


  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders

  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

  • Plan and schedule project timeline's and milestones using appropriate tools

  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas

  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle

  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary

  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company

  • Direct and manage multiple project developments from beginning to end.

  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

  • Ability to influence and guide resources through a matrixed reporting environment

  • Proven track record of delivering results on time, on budget, with quality, and with the expected functionality

  • Excellent communication skills and effective risk and issue management

  • Ability to coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work



Required Education and Experience


  • Bachelors or advanced degree in a technology field

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience leading development projects covering a diverse set technologies and business functions

  • PMP strongly preferred

  • Experience leading projects as either the PM or Scrum master under an Agile methodology

  • Solid Agile experience

  • Experience with resource forecasting, budgeting and cost management
