DSL is supporting large Government Contractor searching for an innovative self-starter to effectively manage and lead a wide range of geospatial repository management products for an Intelligence Community customer in the Northern Virginia area.

Location: Reston, VA
Clearance: Top Secret SCI Polygraph
Salary: DOE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following actions:
• An innovative self-starter to effectively manage and lead a wide range of geospatial repository management projects
• Review geospatial data repositories, seeking ongoing improvements in both content and operations
• Identify, develop and establish new processes and services, providing an improved experience in using GSD's geospatial holdings
• Potentially lead efforts across GSD to reach internal consensus regarding repository management related issues and workflow improvements
• Engage and work with data management teams and database developers to coordinate data integration and cross-development efforts

Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in geography or related field of study (or degree in Software Engineering with experience in GIS)
• 4+ years of experience
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Current, practical experience with standard GIS data formats and metadata standards - including vector and raster files (see below)
• Familiarity and understanding of GIS Software, including ESRI ArcGIS, and file standards (File Geodatabase, Shapefile, Raster Files)
• Current, practical experience with creating, editing and standardizing metadata for geospatial data
• Basic understanding of database design and programming (e.g., Python)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
