In this position, you will serve as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians, and the general public on the Imaging Center’s behalf. You will welcome all patients and their family members into the Center by making them feel comfortable and anticipating and attending to their needs.  This position includes check-in and check-out of patients, answering the telephone, routing incoming calls to the appropriate party, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, gathering demographic and insurance data and completing the insurance pre-certification process, collecting balances from patients’ financial responsibility at time of service, and other front office/desk duties as necessary.  
 
Status: Full-time
Location:  Myrtle Beach, SC
Typical Shift: Closing Shift, 12-8pm,
Weekend Requirements: Possible weekend coverage as needed
 
Qualified candidates must have:
 
Must be willing to consider PRN or as needed employment opportunities
Must be flexible to work evening shifts (Ex: 4:00 PM to Close) and other shifts as needed
2+ years of experience working in a customer support role
Strong customer service background and focus
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on computer
Demonstrated ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High School Diploma or equivalent
 
Preferred Skills/Experience:
 
Bilingual – Spanish/English
Experience working in a physician practice or other type of medical services office
Knowledge of medical terminology
Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting
Medical records experience
Bachelor’s Degree
