Description: Summary: Manages small to large sized projects or a single large complex project from beginning to end, ensuring adherence to project management principles, processes, and best practices. Defines and verifies project objectives, scope, requirements and deliverables that support customer goals in collaboration with all key stakeholders. Also responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual deliverables, ensuring all appropriate resources are assigned, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. Dependent upon solution delivery approach, manages projects according to waterfall or agile methodology. This position can either serve as Project Manager or Scrum Master depending on the project.

Duties:

•Assembles project team. Provides formalized, continuous work direction and leadership to assigned team of professionals, including the scheduling, assignment, and review of project work.

•Leads project team to create high-value solutions.

•Develops, tracks, monitors and communicates project progress against the project plan.

•Works with project stakeholders to develop project requirements, quality measures, standards, processes, cost estimates and milestones.

•Coordinates the input, support and communication with all functional areas that impact or are impacted by project scope, business value, risk, and resource requirements.

•Leads the improvement of Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies used.

•Manages project team in accordance to waterfall project delivery phases or agile methodologies according to scrum ceremonies.

•Manages project change control, decisions, risks, issues, assumptions and mitigation planning.

•Adheres and participates in the monitoring of quality assurance and project management guidelines.

•Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation and presentations. Determines the frequency and content of status report from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

•Develops and maintains all business relationships vital to the success of the project.

•Manages small to large sized projects or a single large complex project.

•Assists in determining project solution. Guides team through buy vs build options, hosting options and RFI/RFP process processes when necessary.


Education Requirements:

•Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline. Additional years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience Requirements:

•Requires five years of project management experience working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels.

•Requires experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK and PRINCE2).

•Requires working knowledge of application development technologies, as well as, client-server, web, and cloud based architectures.

•Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and SharePoint. Requires effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

•Need to be able to work with IT Resource Managers to meet the company's technology goals.

•Manage security, core system, hardware and software upgrade projects that may be business and computer impacting.

•Align projects schedules to technology roadmaps completed on time, within scope and budget.

•Develop a renewal and upgrade schedule for company software programs.

Preferred:

Two or more years of experience as a Scrum Master managing large, complex projects in a web development environment with multi-functioning teams.
PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
Certified Scrum Master
PMP Certification
