Description: PCM is currently searching for a Lead Software Engineer for our client in the Mission, Kansas area. This is a contract for hire role that will be responsible for contributing and supporting an array of applications using the latest .NET Framework and modern front-end technologies. You will participate as a member of a highly engaged team, working closely with peers, in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a technical leader and resource to others, especially for C# and AWS.
• Daily responsibilities will be hands on keyboard coding with the ability to push the team to drive outcomes.
• Daily stand ups, work with Product Owner to achieve product goals.
• Work closely with your Sr. Manager to achieve engineering goals.
• Share knowledge with and coach experienced software engineers to become Sr. Software Engineers.
• Attend Lead meetings and bring information back to the team to disseminate.
• Be able to rally the team around production defects for rapid trouble shooting, mitigation and resolution.
• Build products from the ground up and scale out existing products
• Responds to production performance issues and sees those performance issues through resolution.
• Performs deep performance related diagnostic troubleshooting / analysis.
• Makes performance recommendations to developers based on results and code identifications.
• Communicates performance analysis to stakeholders and suggests applicable changes.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems
• Working experience of software development (e.g. WebAPI, .Net Core, C#)
• Working experience in enterprise level software performance engineering
• Working experience with diagnostic tools such as Stackify or App Dynamics
• Working experience optimizing website performance with strong knowledge in networks, browsers, content delivery, etc.
• Working experience writing parameterized and data driven scripts
• Working experience in a variety of relational and non-relational data structures e.g. SQL, DynamoDB, S3, etc.
• Working experience with source code control systems
• Working experience in AWS platform tools for delivery (EC2, ElasticBeanstalk, Terraform)
• Practical leadership experience in an agile environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
