Description: PCM is currently searching for candidates to fill a Program Manager role in the Lee’s Summit, MO area. This is a direct hire position paying up to $105,000 with excellent benefits that include a pension plan.

This position is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects (program) and ongoing operations which are directed toward a common objective. Works with constituent Project Managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program. Takes programs from original concept through final implementation. Generally responsible for determining and coordinating the sharing of resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit of the program.
Responsible for stakeholder management. Interfaces with all areas affected by the program including end users, distributors, and vendors. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews program deliverables.
Work with members of the executive team to set the overall strategy and objectives for a group of projects and to communicate the status of the program. Reports to the Project Portfolio Manager and in the absence of that role will report directly to the Director, Portfolio and Project Management Office.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Align deliverables of the projects with the organization’s overall strategic goals.
• Communicates strategy to the project managers and ensure that individual project goals align with the Program strategy.
• Works with Project Portfolio Manager to establish budgets, priorities, ensure project teams have the resources they need and work closely with Project Managers to track progress.
• Reports to Senior Executives on the progress of the individual projects and the overall program.
• Defines and leads the improvement of Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
• Manages program change control, decisions, risks, issues, assumptions and mitigation planning.
• Adheres and participates in the monitoring of quality assurance and project management guidelines.
• Develops and delivers program status reports.
• Determines the frequency and content of project status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Develops and maintains all business relationships vital to the success of the program.
• Manages multiple related projects (a program) and large sized high priority projects.
• Assists in determining program solution. Guides team through buy vs. build options, hosting options and RFI/RFP processes when necessary.

Job Requirements
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Requires eight years of project management experience and three years of program management experience, working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Requires experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK and PRINCE2).
• Requires working knowledge of application development technologies, as well as, client-server, web, and cloud based architectures.
• Additional years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and SharePoint.
• Requires effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Requires strong leadership skills to coordinate and motivate project teams.
• Must be adept at financial management to administer budgets across multiple projects and ensure the program meets its requirements for return on investment.
• Requires working knowledge of database architecture, data warehousing architecture and batch operations.
• Requires knowledge of IT security best practices and IT audit experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• ERP implementation experience preferred
