My client is looking for a Sr. Java J2EE Developer. The candidate will be expected to provide the services that are required, to successfully implement
and deliver solutions in the J2EE platform, that are stable, reliable, scalable, well documented,
and of high quality. This candidate will work on the military’s healthcare software system to
provide code relative to enrollment & eligibility information. The candidate will be responsible
for performing as a Lead Developer, and as a mentor and subject matter expert on their team.

This senior-level Java / JEE Lead Developer designs, develops, implements, and supports
business applications using Java technologies for the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC).
This particular position would currently work on some front end, but mainly backend
applications. A successful candidate would have a desire to not only be the Developer Lead for
this product line, but would mentor, coach, design and be able to understand the business
surrounding the applications. Other tasking would include: coordinates and collaborates with
others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer
needs and expectations. Builds, confirms, and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the
client. Working in a highly collaborative and teaming environment this person will develop and
execute unit test plans, ensuring that results are documented and reviewed with the Quality
Assurance teams responsible for integrated testing. This developer will create technical
documentation in support of new development, upgrades and enhancements. This developer
should understand standard web practices to aid their team towards utilizing new technologies,
engaging in appropriate project management & system development methodologies, as well as
unit testing best-practices. Incumbent serves as a mentor to junior and mid-level developers.

? 7 + years of hands-on experience developing J2EE applications on Weblogic 10.0 +
Application Server
? 2+ years of experience in developing and implementing JAX-RPC/Restful based web
? J2EE/Java performance testing and tuning experience.
? In-depth knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems including knowledge
of data modeling concepts, ERD design and development
? Extensive experience working with Oracle databases
? Strong experience in developing enterprise Java solutions following standard/best
practices including SDLC, OOAD and design patterns
? Experience in the design, development and implementation of batch applications
? Good understanding and working knowledge on Software Development
methodologies(Waterfall, RUP, AGILE/SCRUM)
? Proven experience building Java-based solutions for highly available and scalable
systems on HP/Sun Unix platforms.
? Demonstrated analytical and Problem Solving skills
? Excellent communication abilities
? Focus on timely and quality delivery of solutions
? Team Lead experience responsible for managing the software life cycle, working with
customers/users, and mentoring team members

? Excellent programming skills with JAVA, J2EE, Servlets, JSP/JSF, EJB 2.0 +, JNDI,
JDBC, JMS, JUnit, Maven, Jprobe, JMeter, ORM (JPA, Hibernate, iBatis), CVS.
