Desired Skills:

The main function of a Business Systems Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.

Job Responsibilities:
• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers.
• Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes.
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member.
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
• Ensure collection of information, accurate requirement gathering, data analysis, documentation of information, and presentation of findings advance initiatives and ensure project success.
• Conduct analysis of client processes and functional or reporting requirements to prepare documentation and communicate the information.
• Provide SME advice and direction to internal and external customers to ensure that the business requirements are appropriately defined.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional tasks or work packages to identify and document functional or reporting requirements, work flow, information sources and system specifications.
• Partner with project manager, technical resources, vendors, and management to ensure accurate execution of projects.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of the banking industry, including operations, products, and services.
• Regulatory knowledge/experience with IIROC MTRS and/or MiFID II.
• Experience gathering requirements, and analysis including Use Case analysis.
• Professional experience with system development lifecycle, application delivery and implementation.
• Extensive experience in facilitating meetings with team members, management, and stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions.
• Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines.
• Ability to solve technical problems/ processes and understand complex details.
• Ability to increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions.

Must-Have Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis
• Strong experience working within Regulatory Compliance (IIROC MTRS and/or MiFID II)
• Experience using SQL Queries as well as analyzing the data returned
• Ability to work well within a large team environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Agile Methodology Experience
