Position Title: Microsoft Reporting Analyst

The Microsoft Reporting Analyst will provide analytic and reporting services for a major Canadian bank's Global Technology Services (GTS) and Information Security & Control (IS&C) departments. In this role, you will serve as an expert in data analysis and in the design and implementation of management-level metrics, reports and dashboards.

• Design, develop and implement management-level metrics, reports and dashboards based on current priorities.
• Investigate, select and coordinate data feeds from the most appropriate sources across the global bank to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Continuously strive to automate the most time and resource intensive processes related to data collection, validation, transformation, etc. to optimize the production and delivery of standard GTS and IS&C reports. The current portfolio of reports are produced weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually and are related to Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) operations, financials, and risks.
• Serve as an analytics and reporting subject matter expert. Resolve complex reporting issues and provide ad-hoc analytical services to the GTS and IS&C Management teams.
• Communicate effectively with executives and senior management, internal clients and external vendors.

• Minimum ten years of experience in analytics and reporting.
• Minimum ten years of experience with data modeling, data warehousing, Business Intelligence (BI) and Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) tools.
• Minimum five years of IT consulting experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Must be detail-oriented with a solid reputation of producing quality deliverables.
• Advanced data manipulation skills using Excel is mandatory. SQL experience is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft’s BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT and/or IS management processes and frameworks, such as ITIL, COBIT, etc.
• Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a self-directed manner and also as part of a team.
• Ability to effectively handle ambiguous, ad hoc tasks and changes in direction and priorities in response to unexpected events and circumstances

• Advanced data manipulation skills using Excel, pivot tables etc
• Extensive experience designing reports
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with executives
• Detail-oriented with a solid reputation of producing quality deliverables.

• A recognized undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
