As our client continues to evolve and explore new spaces such as Big Data, they are seeking a BI Practice Lead to join them. With a focus on growing and strengthening their teams and their relationships, the new BI Practice Lead will lead and influence multiple areas of the practice including project delivery, talent management, project governance and thought leadership.
From providing career development advice to managing project parameters; from leading the estimating process to conducting technical discussions with architects and developers, the new BI Practice Lead will have broad and deep insights they will bring to the practice to increase the company’s value and performance as well as that of their clients.

You are a Senior Consultant or Practice Lead with hands-on project oversight experience in BI, Data Analysis or Data Architecture. You want to lead, drive and inspire a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Data Architects and Business Intelligence Developers to deliver a fantastic client experience while helping organizations of all types better understand their business and drive strategic imperatives.

Client initiatives. You will:
? Own client engagements from end-to-end.
? Engage in project estimations using your technical knowledge and senior experience to inform the process.
? Leverage the company’s practitioners to deliver quality services throughout the project lifecycle.
? Be accountable for the cross-functional project team.
? Determine business needs by selecting and applying appropriate approaches, tools, and techniques best suited to their clients.
? Ensure project governance and project delivery best practices are adhered to.
? Oversee the implementation of solutions for multiple clients simultaneously.
? Act as trusted advisor to the company’s clients, delivering expert advice and guidance at the board table and owning any escalations.

Practice area growth and management. You will:
? Identify areas of expansion for the company’s consulting services.
? Collaborate with the sales team to estimate and close new opportunities.
? Drive the evolution of the company’s delivery model.
? Create a roadmap of the company’s analytics service offering.
? Build supporting organizational structures.
? Build out their best practices and methodologies.
? Engage senior executive leadership in strategic planning.
? Own the P&L of the delivery organization and initiatives.

Thought leadership. You will:
? Define and guide the development of market-valued intellectual capital.
? Define and develop practical solutions and methodologies.
? Enhance the reputation of the company.

Talent management. You will:
? Recruit and select new team members based on competencies and culture fit.
? Mentor and coach team members to their highest potential.
? Maximize team performance through an effective team approach that increases productivity and job satisfaction.
? Create an atmosphere of knowledge-sharing, learning, and collaboration.
? Build out the existing team and support their career development.
? Develop an in-depth understanding of each team member and how to capitalize on their strengths to support the bigger practice direction and individual client projects.

? The education. You have a university degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, information management or a related field
? The experience. You have a combined 10+ years in BI consulting, project management, talent management and client relationship management.
? The people management. You are an advocate for your team and the individuals within it. Your insights into how the practice will grow shapes the advice and direction you give to your people.
? The knowledge. You are an entrepreneur who can leverage existing resources and capabilities in new and unique ways to grow the practice area and achieve success.
? The technical expertise. You have hands-on senior consulting and implementation experience designing, developing and successfully delivering BI solutions, data modeling, data management, data analytics, data architecture solutions.
? The passion for consulting. You are a creative business problem solver. You have experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership.
? The language of influence. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You are a skilled speaker who can present ideas and information in influential and compelling ways. You can engage technical or non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
? The project management skills. You can balance multiple client projects, resource teams and stakeholder expectations simultaneously.
? The relationship building finesse. You are respected and viewed as an expert. You can build consensus and achieve goals through influence.
