JOB DESCRIPTION
• Design, develop and execute DataStage code (SQL, procedural SQL, ETL tool) to extract, transform and load data from source to target systems
• Design, develop and execute SQL and procedural SQL to conduct data analysis and data profiling
• Work with business analysts and end users to help define project scope and assist in gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Prepare and execute test cases for unit and integration testing in development and UAT
• Play a role developing project artifacts; business requirements document, source to target mappings, and report specifications
• Provide oral/written project status reports to the Project Lead on an ongoing basis
• Provide into the development of project plans for your related tasks on a project
• Work closely with the Project Lead to ensure deliverables and milestones are achieved within the specified time-lines

QUALIFICATIONS
MANDATORY
• 5+ years’ experience as a DataStage Developer
• Extensive experience developing complex SQL queries
• Extensive experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS technology
• Strong knowledge of Kimball and Inmon methodologies
• Experience conducting data analysis and data profiling, and reporting your findings to the business or stakeholders
• Ability to understand and read data models
• Ability, willingness and passion for learning new tools and technologies is mandatory
• The ability to communicate complex information and issues to all levels of the organization
• Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, presentation and communication skills
• Driver’s license, car, and willingness to work at client sites

NICE TO HAVE
• Experience using ERWin or another data modeling tool an asset
• certification an asset
