Description: Our client, a global tier 1 automotive manufacturer requires a Business Development Manager

Develop new opportunities in the OEM builder segment (Tier One manufacturer - hydroforming/stamping/press/assembly/welding/large manufactured steel parts and knows the commercial aspect of automotive business as well.) and grow existing customer business in N.A. Implement OEM strategy through defined markets.

• Direct representation to OEM procurement, quality and engineering departments as well as account administration Candidate Requirements
• Develop a strategy and implement effective market penetration for new OEM customers and where growth opportunities exist.
• Account Management – develop and implement key target account action plan utilizing company resources (products, value services) emphasizing customer process and relationship.
• New Business Development – identify key market segments, key target accounts, and recognize additional opportunities through established relationships; through process analysis determine area of focus for action plan to close sales.
• Field Sales Support – provide sales support to sales staff and distributors in servicing or securing key target OEM accounts; foster new relationships with target accounts to facilitate growth within OEM
• Competitive Awareness – understands competition, their offerings (products & services) and develop counter programs.
• Industry Awareness – identify and understand industry trends and their initiatives.
• Achieve involvement with Industry Trade Associations.

• Business degree or equivalent career experience accompanied with a technical tooling background is highly desired.
• 5+ years of experience Selling to OEMs in automotive at the tier 1 level is a must, with major new programs awarded.
• Required is an aggressive and strategically minded individual with direct OE / OEM account management experience and access to key decision makers at the OEM level
• Strong understanding and experience within hydroforming/stamping/press/assembly/welding/large manufactured steel part environments

• Strong organizational, marketing, communication and administration skills to work effectively in a high performance business environment.
