Plant Manager Automotive

Directs production and distribution operations for plant. Leads a team in meeting or exceeding the operational and financial goals set out for the operation. Develop a culture of continuous improvement and acts as a mentor to help team members reach the next level of responsibility.
Area of responsibility typically includes net sales of more than $100MM with a total headcount at the assigned locations of more than 200.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership, planning, and assist in directing manufacturing activities, employees, and projects at the manufacturing facility.
• Responsible for planning and directing the layout of equipment, workflow, processing methods, and work force utilization.
• Plans, develops, and implements strategies to meet departmental and company goals within agreed upon budgets and timeframes.
• Leads and builds a team of diverse skilled employees to continuously achieve optimal performance and energize the workforce.
• Develops a data driven culture to make logical and timely decisions.
• Leads lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement initiatives using modern techniques such as TPS, Lean and Six Sigma.
• Serves as liaison between manufacturing and other departments so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development.
• Directs preparation of accounting records and recommends expense and capital budgets in coordination with Finance & Accounting leadership. Manages the Plant Cost Out performance.
• Maintains a safe working environment for all employees and ensure that employees follow established safety rules to ensure the goal of zero injuries.


• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing operations in automotive
• Understanding of financials and ability to manage budgets.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
