In addition to a strong network of suppliers, this company invests year after year in research and development. This organization is doing business with most automotive OEM and major tier 1 suppliers.

About the Role:
• The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for developing, defining, negotiating, and closing new and current business with Automotive OEMs.
• Identify and grow new business opportunities
• Manage key accounts and develop new strategic accounts through new business development
• Identify market needs, changing market conditions, and competitive advantages
• Develop and implement plans to expand the organization's product reach and profit revenues by identifying new markets and attracting new customers.
• Contribute to marketing efforts in order to increase the pace of customer acquisition and project execution
• Direct representation to OEM procurement, quality and engineering departments as well as account administration
• Attending and presenting at industry events.

Candidate Requirements:
• 5+ years of business development in the OEM and Tier 1 automotive manufacturing industry
• Aggressive, proactive individual with direct OEM account management experience within the Japanese transplant/new domestic OEM client base (Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru etc.)
• Ideally the team is seeking someone with a hunter's mentality and experience in the OEM automotive market.
• Proven sales track record identifying and closing business providing customer satisfaction and solutions
• Strong business acumen, problem solving, analytical and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational, marketing, communication and administration skills
• Preferred experience in stamping and modular assemblies
• A degree in a related or technical field such as Tooling or Engineering is highly desired but not a must
• Ability to travel throughout North America and to Asia
• The ability to speak Japanese would be an asset
